John's passion is seeing the right tree planted in the right place, and being correctly cared for. Anything you want doing with trees, John can do it. His wide range of experience means he is well equipped to deal with any project. John trained in arboriculture at Horttraining New Zealand.
John worked for the Forest Service in the 1980s, and learned extensively about native trees. He has worked in the wide range of fields between environmental forestry to production forestry. John is passionate about forest restoration. In the late 1990’s and early 2000’s John began working in the arboricultural industry, before setting up his own company in 2003.
John also has a special interest in golf courses, having worked for a number of years for the Heretaunga Golf course as a tree specialist. He knows which ornamental trees are required for shade and challenge, exactly how they should be cared for and how to do it.
